A natural reliever for pollen allergies

Blooming blossoms, smell of freshly cut grass, sun tickling our skin: these little sensory pleasures that spring brings are the greatest joy for some but also the greatest misfortune for others. Indeed, who says flowering, says allergies! Tingling, redness, itchy skin and rhinitis punctuate the daily lives of people allergic to pollen.

While the seasonal allergies are in full swing, people suffering from them are resuming their annual habits and are looking for solutions at all costs to overcome this tough period.

What if I told you that plants can help you? Curious, isn’t it?

Indeed, there are natural herbal remedies that exist to help you get through this time of the year. You probably know the classics: herbal teas, nettles, aromatherapy ; but have you ever heard of Sacha Inchi? This plant has very powerful properties.

Sacha Inchi: bursting in Omega 3 & 6!

Sacha Inchi, also called the Inca peanut, grows in the Amazon rainforest, in Peru. It has been cultivated by the locals since ancient times and used as a native medicine. Its oil has incredible virtues: it concentrates all the essential fatty acids in very high amounts. Indeed, it is extracted through a cold-pressed process in order to keep all of its nutrients intact: Omegas 3, 6 and 9, Vitamins A and E. Indeed , it carries the highest percentage of omega 3 (48%) and omega 6 (36%) on Earth! This confers Inca peanut incredible anti-inflammatory and calming properties. It is far more than the well-known Rosehip Oil (36% of omega 3) or other vegetable oils like Olive Oil (0,8%).

But these nutrients also have regulation functions. So, thanks to these active components, Sacha Inchi oil helps with all cutaneous reactions due to allergies. It relieves the skin and allays redness and itches.

How does Sacha Inchi relieve allergies in the skin?

Our cells are covered with a layer of fatty acids, a lipid bilayer that surrounds them and works like a skin that protects them and separates them from the outside. But the fatty acids that form this lipid bilayer are also our body manufactures of prostaglandins, which are substances involved in the inflammatory response, therefore in allergic reactions.

Essential fatty acids like Omega 3 and 6 influence the production of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. In this sense, the high quality of these Sacha Inchi fatty acids help to enrich our cell membranes so that its fatty acids are more anti-inflammatory and reduce allergic reactions.

At Aypa, we have created 2 powerful products carrying Sacha Inchi oil:
Bio Rescue Oil: a lightweight multifunctional regenerating oil for face, body and hair. It rescues all skin types and brings hydration. Moreover, it participates in the regeneration of tissues, which allows it to fight the signs of aging.

Their secret? They both contain Sacha Inchi.
